So much fun. And such powerful life lessons.

For thousands of years, martial arts has taught kids discipline, focus, respect and confidence. But we won't tell the little ones that — we'll just keep them smiling and laughing. They won't even realize they're picking up amazing life skills.

That's what makes our Happy Valley and Clackamas kids martial arts summer camps so powerful.

Exercise and fitness… without screens

We get it: you want your child to have less screen time. At camp they'll forget their iPad even exists. They'll just be having good old wholesome fun — like kids should.

Frequently asked questions

The questions Happy Valley and Clackamas parents ask us most.

What ages can attend?
Camp is built for school-age kids. Call 503-698-3997 and we'll confirm the right group for your child.
What should campers bring?
Comfortable clothes, water bottle, lunch and snacks. We provide all training equipment.
Can we sign up for a single week?
Yes — weekly registration is available while spots last.
Will my child become a bully?
The opposite. Our students become more confident about standing up to bullies, and more humble and kind toward others through their martial arts lessons.
Do parents need to stay?
We don't require parents to stay during classes. That said, parents who get involved build a solid connection — they see their child grow in confidence and skill through each belt rank. Strong family units matter to us and to our Happy Valley and Clackamas community.
What do we need to bring to the first lesson?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and a water bottle. Our classes are a great workout and a lot of fun — most students are grinning from ear to ear by the end.
My child has ADHD — will martial arts help?
Yes. Martial arts is an individual sport done in a group environment, so students improve focus, self-control, discipline and social skills. The best part: they just think they're having fun.
Are parents allowed to watch?
Absolutely — we love parents getting involved, and so do their kids. You can also join one of our adult classes so you have something in common. Or drop them off and grab a coffee; they'll greet you with a huge smile.
My child isn't athletic — will they feel left out?
Not at all. Martial arts is the perfect activity for kids who aren't drawn to team sports. The journey from white belt to black belt looks different for everyone, but every student improves coordination, balance, motor skills, focus and discipline — and makes great friends.
My child is addicted to computer games. Is this suitable?
This may be the best activity for kids who sit a lot. Kicking and punching pads is fantastic stress relief, and parents often tell us they see a happier, more social child develop right in front of them.
